The Mountain Terrace is across from Alice's on the left.

What else is there to do in the bay area?

  • There are nice beaches in Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz has a beach boardwalk including a roller coaster.
  • Whale watching in Monterey. Stop at the Monterey Bay aquarium while you're there.
  • Carmel/Pebble Beach. The 17 mile drive from monterey to carmel through pebble beach is nice, but bring your wallet :)
  • Napa/Sonoma. I recommend getting reservations for a tour at Jarvis. BV and Niebaum-Coppola give good tours as well.
  • Plan a day hike in Big Basin State Park. This is a pristine forest of towering redwoods. It takes a while to get into the park, but it's well worth it. Ask for the best way to get there :)
  • San Francisco. Of course. Ride the cable cars, walk through chinatown, walk across the golden gate, alcatraz, golden gate park. If you plan to go to alcatraz, get your tickets in advance here.
  • Bonfante gardens. I'm told this is a good place to bring the kids.
